Is Keep It Green Hydroseeding right for your job?

FAQ

📝 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What does this service include?

We remove the top layer of your existing lawn (sod), install approximately 6 inches of screened loam, and offer hydroseeding as an optional final step.

2. What is hydroseeding, and is it included?

Hydroseeding is a method of spraying a mixture of grass seed, mulch, and water across the prepared soil to establish new grass quickly and efficiently. It’s available as an optional add-on after lawn removal and loam installation.

3. Do you offer fertilization, watering, or lawn maintenance?

No. We do not provide any ongoing lawn care such as fertilization, irrigation, mowing, or weed control. Once the hydroseeding is complete, maintenance is the homeowner’s responsibility.

4. Can you help me design a landscape or place plants and hardscaping?

No. We do not offer landscape design services or planning assistance for plants, rockwork, pavers, or other features. For that, we recommend hiring a professional landscape designer.

5. Do I have to choose hydroseeding, or can I leave the loam bare?

You can choose either option. Many clients leave the area bare or cover it with mulch, while others choose hydroseeding for a cost-effective way to grow new grass.

6. Will weeds grow in the new loam?

Over time, yes. Weed seeds can blow in and germinate. We recommend mulch or other ground covers if you don’t plan to plant right away. Ongoing weed control is not included in our services.

7. Can you install mulch, gravel, sod, or artificial turf?

No. We do not install decorative surfaces or turf products. Our services are limited to sod removal, loam installation, and optional hydroseeding.

8. Is hydroseeding low-maintenance?

Hydroseeding requires consistent watering for the first few weeks to establish healthy growth. After that, regular lawn care is necessary — which we do not provide.

9. Do I need a permit to replace my lawn?

Generally, no — but some HOAs or municipalities have specific guidelines. We do not handle permits or approvals, so it’s best to check with your local authority.
